The Redd 17 mixing console

This console was placed at EMI studios in Heemstede The Netherlands where it was used to record many of the Dutch hits from 1960 to 1970. It's very similar to the Redd 37 which the Beatles used in the Abbey Road studios.

Between 1960 and 1970 the 37 version of this console was used by EMI to record several famous recordings from the Beatles, Klemperer and others. Click here to view the Beatles with a Redd console.

Later on EMI replaced the equipment with TG12345 consoles which partly used germanium technology.

The Dutch Redd 17 was once in the hands of Bavo Dekker Vintage Audio...
